PERI officially opened “askPERI (www.askperi.kr),” an AI-based one-stop policy platform that gathers vast policy information scattered in various places such as government departments, the National Assembly, and public institutions in one place, providing integrated search functions and online policy consulting services, on March 5, 2024 (Tuesday).

“With the vision of becoming a service that allows users to ask PERI about everything related to policy (“askPERI”), askPERI launched its beta version on January 1, 2024. The official version of askPERI has been greatly enhanced and expanded by collecting various opinions from policy practitioners, academics, and users during the two-month beta service.

Users can search for about 27.5 million items (excluding media articles) of policy information such as laws, bills, and regulations, parliamentary minutes, national audit data, government reports, government budgets/subsidies, and statistical information from public institutions without having to visit multiple sites. In particular, government budget data has been underutilized due to inaccessibility, although it is publicly available. PERI will continue its efforts to find and database hidden policy information in the future.
